Animation artist and character designer

I am an animation artist, character designer and illustrator, specialising in communication for children and families. I have been designing characters for almost 30 years.

I have designed, among others, S Group's Onni Orava, OP Financial Group's HIPPO characters, the Finnish Ski Area Association's Werneri the hare, Visit Helsinki's Helppi character and Cumulus Hotels' Pouta Pupu, as well as countless other characters for children and adults alike.

Do you know what percentage of your customers live in families with children? Do you remember which bank you had an account with as a child? And which character do you still remember from your childhood? A good character teaches and tells stories in a child's language. When you do something truly valuable for children, the whole family remembers it, often well into adulthood.

Designing and producing a character concept can include activity books, marketing materials, animations, games and apps.

If you have been thinking about families with children as a target group and how best to communicate with them, send me a message. I'm happy to share my experience.
